It seems like jQuery is the thing to really know. I saw it as mostly for bootstrapping, but now I see its really great to be fluent in the jQuery @media command. Its everything in a mobile first environment. In the future I see a PHP-include site, with jQuery targeted CSS3 options as the backbone. Low data/fast loading of includes. ...Speed makes happy users.
